	CEMKRET 8: New low-profile cement and dry mix transporter for mining
	After launching the low-profile concrete mixer for mining Mixkret 4 last year, Putzmeister is now further expanding its concrete transport range with a low-profile cement and dry mix transporter for mining, CEMKRET 8. With a dry-bulk transport capacity of 8,25 tons, the machine has been designed and developed to optimize the working processes in underground mining operations. Due to the four electric vibrators and the capacity of the two augers, a discharging speed of 50 t/h is reached, so that the time needed to unload the material is reduced to a minimum. 	The SPM 500 WETKRET series has proven its efficiency and reliability in a large number of tunneling projects all over the world. With a vertical spraying reach of 17 m and a concrete flow of 30 m3/h, the machine is suitable for both medium and large section tunnels, galleries and slopes. 	12 units of Putzmeister SPM 500 WETKRET concrete spraying systems providing rock-support in the Suhua Highway upgrade project in Taiwan.
	The Suhua Highway, located in the northeastern part of Taiwan, is said to be one of the most dangerous highways worldwide. Due to the weak geology in this tropical area, heavy rain and typhoons during the rainy season cause a lot of landslides and interruptions, and the curved road located right between the precipitous mountain and the seaside provokes a lot of accidents. 	Putzmeister Mixkret 4 and SPM 4210 WETKRET working in Aguas Teñidas Mine in Iberian Pyrite Belt in Southern Spain
	Aguas Teñidas Mine is located in the northern part of Andalusia in the Province of Huelva, Spain. With its volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits on the northernmost limb of the Iberian Pyrite Belt, the mine holds copper and zinc concentrates as principal products, with additional revenues from lead, gold and silver. The main product being copper, the mine was reopened in 2007 when the copper prices went up. More information

	Putzmeister and Sany merge
	Aichtal/Germany, 27 January 2012 – Today Putzmeister Holding GmbH (“Putzmeister”) and SANY Heavy Industry Co., Ltd (“Sany”) announced the signing of an agreement on the merger of both companies. Sany, together with the Chinese Private Equity company CITIC PE Advisors (Hong Kong) Limited as a minority shareholder, thereby acquires 100 per cent of Putzmeister. The final closing of the deal is subject to approval by the relevant authorities and the customary closing conditions. Both parties agreed not to disclose the financial terms of the transaction. 	Putzmeister shotcrete equipment in twin tunnels on highway in Indian Kashmir
	Twin tunnels are being constructed in Kashmir by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on National Highway 1A, which connects Jammu with Srinagar. One tunnel will run between Quazigund and Banihal, the other between Chenani and Nashri. The two parallel 8.5km tunnels between Quazigund and Banihal are being built by Indian infrastructure firm Navayuga Engineering Co. In July this year, highways minister CP Joshi laid the foundation stone for the tunnels, stating that efforts would be made to complete the project within five years. More information
	54th Copperbelt Mining, Agricultural and Commercial Show
	The Putzmeister Underground Concreting division, together with its official dealer in Zambia and DR Congo, Reliant Drilling Limited, very successfully participated in the 54th COPPERBELT MINING, AGRICULTURAL AND COMMERCIAL SHOW in Kitwe, Zambia this year. The aim of the organizers of this fair (Copperbelt Mining, Agricultural and Commercial Show Society - CACSS) is to encourage high standards in sustainable mining and agriculture, and at the same time raise the standard of the rural economy based on increased production. The Putzmeister / Reliant Stand was awarded the third prize for the best stand of new exhibitors, as well as a special prize for the best exhibition stand management. 	Putzmeister Underground Concreting Division forms partnership with GHH & Mine Master Putzmeister reaches an agreement with GHH & Mine Master to distribute and service drilling jumbos, bolting rigs and load haul dumpers to complement the company’s concrete spraying equipment for tunnelling. This partnership will start with Putzmeister distributing and marketing GHH & Mine Master machines in Spain, where the head office of Putzmeister´s Underground Concreting Division is based (Madrid). 	World record in the Gotthard Base Tunnel On Friday, 15th October 2010, the excavation of the Gotthard Base Tunnel was finished with the main cut-through in the eastern tunnel, 30 km away from the southern and 27 km from the northern portal. Coming from the Faido section, the tunnel boring machine broke through the remaining metre of rock around 2.30 pm. More information
	Putzmeister develops a new concrete spraying simulation system. In cooperation with the Technical University (TU) of Dresden, Putzmeister has designed a simulation system based on open-source software. The project began in October 2008 and ended in March 2010, with the first public presentation of the simulator at this year´s Bauma, Munich. Visitors to the Putzmeister stand had the opportunity to try the simulation of the Sika-PM 500 concrete spraying system on a large-format screen. More information
	Pahang-Selangor Raw Water Transfer Project Putzmeister Shotcrete Equipment in use at the Pahang-Selangor Raw Water Transfer Project in central Malaysia. The project, which has been going on since August 2009, is to carry raw water from the Semantan River through a transfer tunnel to the Selangor / Kuala Lumpur region to meet future water demand for domestic and industrial purposes.
